Ghzel factory Decorated Porcelain Plate

There has been ceramics manufacturing in Gzhel region in Russia starting from 14-th century but production of porcelain in mid 19-th century made Gzhel world famous. What made Gzhel porcelain world famous is that all the paintings are painted with most natural blue color that there is - cobalt.

All Gzhel products are hand painted and most are signed by artist. Plate diameter is 240 mm (9.6")
